UIUC dorm appliance rules

Illinois undergraduate residence halls (Urbana-Champaign). Sherman and Daniels come with combo appliances; non-air-conditioned halls (Taft, Van Doren, Leonard, Shelden) have extra cooling rules.

Mini fridge Limits: One per room, no more than 4.4 cu ft and Energy Star certified. Sherman and Daniels already have combo appliances.
Microwave Limits: One per room, 800 W or less. In-room meals only if cooked in the microwave.
Power strips / surge protectors Limits: Minimum ETL rating with a self-contained circuit breaker of 15 A max; no daisy-chaining. The checklist asks for UL-approved, grounded strips.
